This article presents a bibliographical study on the implementation of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in Latin American countries within the context of English language teaching. The study employed a qualitative approach, combining literature review and documentary research of official texts from the governments of Latin American countries. A total of 10 texts and 13 documents were selected. Through content analysis, the study aimed to identify the pros and cons of adopting the Framework, as well as discern patterns, trends, and challenges faced by countries in integrating the CEFR into their educational systems. The articles highlighted the flexibility of the Framework in meeting the needs of the countries, while the official documents provided information on the scope of the implementation.
