This article aims to investigate the effects of online feedback on the initial training of language teachers, from the perspective of undergraduate students, both in Brazil and abroad. To do so, we conducted state-of-the-art research from 2001 to 2021. The data revealed the need for a balance between general and personalized feedback, its use for training purposes, in addition to the importance of experiencing it during their development process as well as studying it in depth in order to be able to offer it with more consistency and plausibility.
