Meritocracia, excelencia y exclusión escolar: Una scoping review

Resumen

La meritocracia escolar es un mecanismo de distinción de alumnos con supuestos beneficios para la motivación y el reconocimiento del esfuerzo, pero también con una dimensión negativa asociada a la intensificación y estratificación de las desigualdades. Así, el objetivo principal de este estudio es el análisis de la literatura sobre la meritocracia escolar y las lógicas de acción de las escuelas en este contexto. El método adoptado es una scoping review, con el objetivo de seleccionar, analizar y sintetizar la literatura encontrada en cuatro bases de datos: Web of Science, Scopus, RCAAP y Google Scholar. Los resultados muestran una necesidad de reflexión sobre los conceptos de justicia y exclusión escolar, asociados a la ideología meritocrática en la lógica de la igualdad de oportunidades.
