Méritocratie, excellence et exclusion scolaire: Une scoping review

Résumé

La méritocratie scolaire est un mécanisme de distinction entre les élèves qui présente des avantages supposés en termes de motivation et de reconnaissance des efforts, mais qui comporte aussi une dimension négative associée à l’intensification et à la stratification des inégalités. Par conséquent, l’objectif principal de cette étude est d'analyser la littérature sur la méritocratie scolaire et les logiques d´action des établisssements scolaires à cet effet. La scoping review est la méthode adoptée ici pour sélectionner, analyser et synthétiser la littérature à ce sujet présente dans quatre bases de données: Web of Science, Scopus, RCAAP et Google Scholar. Les résultats indiquent qu’il faut absolument réfléchir sur les concepts de justice et d'exclusion scolaire, ainsi que sur l’idéologie méritocratique dans une logique d’égalité des chances.
