Résumé

L’importance accordée aux insertions sociales dans la perspective de Doise sur les représentations sociales et dans la notion d’habitus chez Boudieu est discutée et illustrée à travers un ensemble d’études sur les pratiques familiales montrant l’effet des positions sociales sur les représentations et pratiques sociales. Les résultats révèlent un consensus sur ce que sont les tâches ménagères et qui doit les accomplir. Ils indiquent que les hommes et les femmes s´accordent pour considérer juste la répartition inégale du travail familial et désirable la différenciation des rôles familiaux entre maris et femmes. Le niveau de scolarité entraîne des variations dans la croyance dans les différences naturelles entre les sexes, dans les représentations du travail familial et dans la contribution effective des conjoints aux tâches familiales, sans menacer toutefois les positions asymétriques occupies par les hommes et les femmes dans la société.
