Partindo de um levantamento bibliográfico relativo ao período 1983 -- início de 1994 e integrado por dissertações e teses na área da Educação Matemática, periódicos científicos e periódicos de divulgação a professores, este estudo revisional identifica as críticas dirigidas ao modelo pedagógico predominante no ensino-aprendizagem da Matemática e,em seguida, aponta as tendências renovadoras registradas na literatura brasileira dos anos 80-90.
