Direito à educação: uma questão ético-política

Este artigo discute o problema do direito à educação, relacionando-o com os diferentes compromissos éticos-políticos assumidos pelos homens em determinados contextos históricos. A proposição de Kant segundo a qual a educação tem por função conduzir o homem da natureza à liberdade é analisada e confrontada com a dicotomia existente entre a formação do homem como ser genérico e como indivíduo comum, sujeito a muitas formas de discriminação. O autor pretende ainda mostrar que no momento atual é importante defender o direito a uma educação pluralista, a qual deve ter por base novos compromissos éticos-políticos, capazes de permitir tanto a superação dos valores éticos tradicionais (os quais estabelecem claramente a distinção entre bem e mal) quanto do relativismo axiológicoDownloads
