Uma escola primária na periferia de São Paulo

O presente artigo descreve características físicas e históricas de uma escola de periferia de São Paulo, situando-a no contexto social mais amplo e educacional da rede pública estadual da última década. Discutem-se dados referentes ao rendimento e trajetória escolar dos alunos, identificando nos aspectos intra-escolares (institucional, organizacional e humano) pontos de estrangulamento daqueles. Não subestimando as questões políticas envolvidas, sugerem-se estudos do cotidiano das escolas para se propor mudanças eficazes a nível interno.Downloads
