Privação cultural e educação compensatória: uma análise crítica

O fracasso escolar de parcelas significativas das crianças oriundas das camadas populares nos anos iniciais da escolaridade constitui traço marcante do sistema de ensino brasileiro e latino americano em geral. No Brasil, a partir da década de 70, a política educacional tem dado grande destaque à necessidade de oferecer a essas crianças, experiências que as levem a compensar suas “deficiências”. O pressuposto dessa política é o de que o fracasso acontece porque as crianças não estariam suficientemente preparadas para tirar proveito satisfatório da escola.Downloads
