Human rights education: Dignity, recognition and normativity

The aim of this article is to analyze the link between dignity, recognition and human rights education (HRE). The methodology of this article consists of an updated theoretical discussion. Specifically, it is proposed that, in formal and non-formal education in a Latin American context, it is essential to know the link between dignity, recognition, the principles of normativity and HRE in order to deploy mechanisms of protection and strengthening, at the individual and collective level, of what Axel Honneth understands as “democratic life”.
