Estado, política educativa e privatização em contextos pós-coloniais

Resumo

Este artigo oferece uma contribuição teórica sobre a necessidade de entender as origens e o funcionamento do Estado ao pesquisar as interseções entre globalização, privatização e educação em contextos pós-coloniais. Baseado no caso de Honduras, o artigo é resultado de um projeto maior, que incluiu a análise de informações coletadas em entrevistas em profundidade com atores-chave no campo da política educacional, da revisão de fontes históricas e da literatura teórica sobre políticas, educação global, economia política, teoria do sistema mundial e estudos pós-coloniais. Define-se o que chamamos de “ethos da privatização”, uma forma de privatização inerente ao Estado pós-colonial, referindo-se ao fato de que o lucro privado é a lógica que orienta o funcionamento do sistema.
