Ciência e divulgação: metas e mitos

A partir de uma abordagem epistemológica, o artigo discute a problemática da divulgação científica escrita. Com base em exemplos extraídos de textos destinados aos jovens e ao público leigo em geral, aponta a existência de três tendências no tratamento da informação científica: a dramatização ou sensacionalismo, a mistificação e a banalização. Considerando-as tipos genéricos, busca avaliar os reflexos negativos que estas distorções conferem à viculação de conhecimentos científicos, comprometendo gravemente a função educativa que tal divulgação atualmente cumpre.Downloads
