Divergências mas não antagonismos: mães e professoras das escolas públicas

Abstract

É comum, em uma primeira avaliação das lutas por acesso e melhoria da qualidade do ensino público, supormos a inexistência de discordâncias entre aqueles que delas participam. Pesquisa qualitativa com enfoque etnográfico sobre o Movimento Estadual Pró-Educação (MEPE) aponta, incorporando as relações de gênero, aproximações e divergências entre as principais protagonistas dessas lutas: professoras e mães de alunos, destacando algumas das possíveis contribuições que a visão desses segmentos distintos - nem antagônicos, nem alidados incondicionais - podem trazer para a luta pela melhoria do ensino público.
