A dupla natureza da escola nova: psicologia e ciências sociais

Este artigo discute as concepções fundamentais presentes no ideário de renovação educacional no Brasil, entre os anos de 1930 e 1945. Busca esclarecer que o pensamento pedagógico renovador é fortemente marcado por preocupações sociais; nesse quadro, os conhecimentos e técnicas oriundos da Psicologia são utilizados como meios para dar maior racionalidade à escola e ao trabalho do professor. Conclui que tanto a Psicologia quanto as ciências sociais fornecem à Escola Nova as bases teóricas para sua formulação.Downloads
