Abstract

Este trabalho é baseado em pesquisa de fonte primária, constituída pelos autos civis de divórcio em São Paulo no período de 1890-1930. Um grupo significativo desses autos são processos que envolvem casais de imigrantes e suas crises conjugais. Embora sejam problemas de ordem pessoal, estão vinculados a questões sociais mais amplas, relacionadas com a imigração e a forma específica que esta assumiu em São Paulo.
