Abstract

O artigo estuda a inserção do direito à educação como um dos direitos sociais da cidadania. Discute as formas de garantir esse direito. Analisa a relação entre direito à educação e obrigatoriedade escolar. Acompanha a evolução dos conceitos de obrigatoriedade escolar e direito à educação na história da educação brasileira.
