Abstract

A pesquisa analisou o desenvolvimento de 190 crianças, durante seus primeiros meses de vida, relacionando-o com as condições de vida e os arranjos domiciliares na família. O trabalho das mães, a migração recente, a composição do orçamento familiar, as famílias nucleares ou ampliadas, são fatores analisados em função do estado nutricional constatado nas crianças. Os resultados apontam para as condições de sobrevivência mais favoráveis entre as famílias ampliadas.
