Utilização da capacidade docente na Universidade de São Paulo

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar a utilização da capacidade docente na Universidade de São Paulo. Um conceito de turma média efetiva é desenvolvido no trabalho. Comparação entre turma média efetiva e turma média teórica constitui a base de análise da utilização da capacidade docente na USP. Essas comparações são realizadas para todos os departamentos e escolas da Universidade. É possível verificar que a carga didática é distribuída de maneira bastante desigual na USP; alguns departamentos e escolas com cargas didáticas pesadas, enquanto outros apresentam evidências de excesso de capacidade. Possíveis razões para essa situação são sugeridas e discutidas.
