Resumo

Este artigo discorre sobre as distintas maneiras pelas quais se tem visto a relação entre as teorias de aprendizagem ou de ensino e as práticas educacionais. Aborda, em primeiro lugar, a bibliografia que fazia da teoria da aprendizagem a base de qualquer teoria de ensino que esperasse alcançar bons resultados. Em seguida, defronta-se com os pesquisadores que, observando e analisando a prática do ensino, abrem um caminho promissor em relação às possibilidades de melhorá-lo. Ao final, aparecem os autores que reconhecem os professores como teóricos de suas práticas. A conclusão convida a repensar a ideia de uma relação de teoria-prática no mundo da educação, refletindo, por sua vez, sobre a relação existente entre educadores, pesquisadores e políticos e administradores da educação.
